Our company was started in 1968 by John Kass, a young panel beating tradesman who single - headedly started out in Chapel Street Marrickville with a philosophy of quality and service.
That philosophy has carried our company through 40 years of growth to a point where we now employs over 30 people in a state of the art repair facility. At John Kass Smash we can handle can now handle car trimming, smash repairs for cars, trucks, buses and other large vehicles together wtih mechanical repairs and motor trimming, all under the one roof.

Our philosophy has enabled us to develop from a panel beating shop to an integrated, modern state oof the art facility offering all Automotive Servicing and Body Repair to vehicle ranging from a normal Family Sedan to a Semi or Coach. We are one of the very few centre’s in Sydney that is located minutes away from the Sydney CBD, Port Botany and the Airport, that can handle the vehicles we are doing.
We are the only auto repair facility in the inner - city that can cater for heavy vehicles, lite trucks, buses and all types of limousines.
But while the company is bigger and the equipment more sophisticated, John Kass is keen to retain the personal touch. He works in the business ensuring personalised attention for all clients
